Geronimo, Arley Hall and Knebworth.
Billed as the Ultimate Family Festival, Geronimo has a kids field like no other festival, catering solely to children allowing families to connect in a fairytale existence for an amazing weekend. At Arley Hall this bank holiday weekend and also for the first time it is at Knebworth Hall on 30th June until 1st July 2018. There literally is too much to list here for families, see their family activities page to see why it is one of the most popular family festivals.
Camp Bestival, Dorset – 26-29th July
A large section of the festival is devoted to children; learn a circus skill, bounce on the worlds biggest bouncy castle, face painting, sandpit and soft play tent, an insect circus and an art town! Aimed at children of all ages, there is something for all the family and a huge number of music acts.
Deer Shed Festival, Baldersby Park North Yorkshire, 20-22nd July 2018
With so many activities for children, which are spread all over the festival site, you’ll be hard pushed to do everything you want. My children’s pick for this year would be the Newfoundland Rescue Dog cart rides, Muddy Fingers Raku pottery (we are big fans of the Great Pottery Throw Down!), Camp KindleWoods, Den building and tree climbing. How will you fit the music in is the only issue!
Just So Festival, Rode Hall Cheshire, 17 – 19th August 2018
Best described in their own words “with a love of stories and childhood escapades at its heart, Just So Festival enables families to step out of their day to day lives and into a wonderland of world class literature, arts, theatre, dance, music, comedy and creative pursuits together”. If you are looking for a spellbinding weekend full of magic and wonderment this is the festival for you.
Green Man, Wales – 16-19th August 2018
Nestled within the majestic Brecon Beacons, the Settlement is your opportunity to explore miles and miles of mountains, forests, waterfalls and rivers. With a family friendly camping area there are lots of activities to join in with.
